…but imagine if you had to keep them under control on several acres of lake.

This is how they do it in Singapore Botanical Gardens, using two boats, each crewed by two men.

We visited these fascinating gardens during a stopover on the way to Australia.

At least plants don’t move – they’ve previously had to clear out fast-breeding fish and also turtles that were taking over the ecosystem, and once – a long time ago – a big crocodile.
